Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Newcastle to appoint a dedicated KS2 Teacher for a long-term role across Year 3 to Year 6. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, assess pupil progress, and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports learners of all abilities.

The role requires QTS (ECTs welcome), with strong KS2 experience and excellent behaviour management.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2 in a UK Primary School.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that supports children of all abilities.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
• Collaborate with school staff and consultants to support pupil development.

Salary: £125 - £230 per day

The school provides a friendly and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic KS2 Teacher on a long-term basis, teaching pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2, from Year 3 to Year 6. The successful KS2 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a positive classroom environment that supports children of all abilities.

The successful KS2 Teacher will have:
