Job summary

Reynolds Primary Academy seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils, including those with SEND. The post is 32.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, term-time plus inset days (195 days per year).

The TA will work with pupils to meet targets across cognition, communication, social/emotional, and sensory/physical difficulties, delivering personalised interventions in classroom, small groups, and individual sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and speech & language difficulties; clear spoken English essential.
• Ability to organise and deliver personalised intervention sessions.
• Experience creating communication resources (e.g., social stories, visual aids) would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support SEND pupils with difficulties in all four broad areas of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Deliver a range of approaches and interventions to meet pupils' needs in classroom, group, and 1:1 settings.
• Work across classrooms to meet school requirements.
• Collaborate with staff and outside agencies to support pupil progress.
