Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a Year 1/2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the YO7 area, four days per week. This supply/short-term to long-term role offers Part Time hours and a chance to contribute to early years literacy and numeracy development.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have KS1 experience, and be able to adapt teaching for Year 1 and Year 2. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and work with teaching assistants to support all pupils in a positive,

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 is essential.
• Experience teaching Year 1 and/or Year 2.
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons across Year 1 and Year 2.
• Teach English, mathematics, science and foundation subjects within KS1.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils across both year groups.
• Develop pupils' early reading, phonics, writing, spelling, grammar and maths.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress and provide additional support where needed.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
