Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teacher to work within a welcoming primary school in the YO7 area. This role is four days per week, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 with engaging, high-quality lessons.

The successful candidate will deliver creative lessons, develop early reading and numeracy, and foster confidence and independence in a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching KS1 is essential.
• Able to teach across Year 1 and Year 2 and KS1 curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Year 1 and Year 2 KS1.
• Differentiate lessons to meet pupils of differing abilities.
• Develop reading, phonics, writing, spelling, and maths skills.
• Assess pupil progress and report findings to parents and staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Support pupils with additional needs and adapt resources accordingly.
• Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to reporting.
