Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd invites applications for a Part-Time Year 1 Teacher in Newmarket, Suffolk. The role is three days per week with a long-term commitment, focusing on KS1, phonics and early reading, and developing consistent teaching across the week.

You will work with a warm school community, plan engaging lessons, assess pupil progress and support students with a range of needs while maintaining strong collaboration with Teaching Assistants.

Qualifications

• QTS in the UK
• Experience teaching in a primary school
• Experience in Year 1/KS1
• Knowledge of phonics and early reading
• Ability to plan engaging lessons for diverse learners
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to complete clearance

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
• Support pupils with varying needs and abilities
• Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and staff for continuity
