Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class in Cannock. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, engaging learning environment and help deliver targeted support in core subjects.

The role requires KS1 knowledge, Level 2/3 qualification, DBS on Update Service or issued within the last 12 months, and recent UK school experience. Hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with the potential for temp-to-perm.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant or LSA in nurseries or primary schools.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in a Year 2 class to deliver learning activities.
• Provide small-group and 1:1 interventions to boost core subjects.
• Assist with safeguarding and classroom routines to maintain a positive environment.
