Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in Key Stage 1 at a lovely Birmingham school in Kingstanding. This is a class-based role, with opportunities to assist individuals throughout the day.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 TA qualification, be experienced with KS1 and EYFS, and have recent primary school experience. Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis is essential, and the role starts September 2026.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within Key Stage 1 as needed.
• Assist in a class-based setting while supporting individuals.
• Work across the day with pupils requiring additional help.

Job description
