Job summary

A lovely school within Kingstanding is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in Key Stage 1. This is a class-based role, with occasional one-to-one support for individuals throughout the day.

Applicants should have Level 3 TA qualification and experience with SEND. Knowledge of EYFS/KS1 curriculum and recent primary school experience (within 2 years) are essential. The role starts September 2026 and is full-time.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis.
• Excellent working knowledge of EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within Key Stage 1 as part of a class-based role, with additional one-to-one support as needed.
• Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare checks in line with school policies.
