Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Cradley Heath. This full-time, long-term role starts immediately, supporting the class teacher with pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

You will deliver small group and 1:1 interventions, help with phonics, reading, writing and early numeracy, and build positive relationships with pupils and staff while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting.
• Experience supporting phonics and early reading development.
• Ability to support pupils through 1:1 and small group activities.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Provide classroom support and deliver small group and 1:1 interventions.
• Help children build confidence in phonics, reading, writing and early numeracy.
