Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Cradley Heath. This full-time, long-term role starts immediately, supporting the class teacher with pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

You will deliver small group and 1:1 interventions, help with phonics, reading, writing and early numeracy, and build positive relationships with pupils and staff while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting.
  • Experience supporting phonics and early reading development.
  • Ability to support pupils through 1:1 and small group activities.
  • Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Cradley Heath
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £95 - £105 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have experience supporting pupils with their early reading development, phonics and classroom learning?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Cradley Heath who are looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

The successful KS1 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils academic, social and emotional development. You will provide classroom support, deliver small group and 1:1 interventions, and help children build confidence in key areas including phonics, reading, writing and early numeracy.

The successful KS1 Teaching Assistant will have:
