Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers to work across primary schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. Opportunities are available for daily supply, short-term cover, long-term positions and permanent roles.

We are looking for full-time and part-time teachers, with flexible working patterns available. Teachers undertaking short-term or long-term cover bookings are paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale from day one.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification is required.
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Knowledge and experience of phonics and early reading.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Supporting pupils with the development of reading, writing and mathematics
• Delivering phonics teaching and supporting early reading development
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and parents
• Following school safeguarding, curriculum and behaviour policies

Requirements

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
• Right to work in the UK
