Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with work ranging from individual days to short-term and long-term bookings.

We are looking for full-time and part-time teachers, with flexible working patterns available to suit your availability.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school.
• Knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK and valid DBS

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across the Primary National Curriculum.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and established classroom routines.
• Adapting quickly to different schools, classes and year groups.
• Providing feedback and marking work in line with school expectations.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs and differing abilities.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Following safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across the Primary National Curriculum
• Maintaining positive behaviour and established classroom routines
• Adapting quickly to different schools, classes and year groups
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day
• Providing feedback and marking work in line with school expectations
• Supporting pupils with differing abilities and additional needs
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff
• Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Good knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A reliable, professional and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
• Right to work in the UK

Teachers undertaking short-term or long-term cover bookings are paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale from day one.
