Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting KS1 Teachers to work across Newark and the surrounding areas, with opportunities for daily supply, short-term cover, long-term positions and permanent roles.

We are seeking qualified teachers for both full-time and part-time posts, with flexible patterns available. You will plan engaging lessons, support reading and mathematics, deliver phonics, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Key Stage 1 in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Knowledge and experience of phonics and early reading.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and suitable professional references.
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Supporting pupils with reading, writing and mathematics
• Delivering phonics teaching and supporting early reading development
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and parents
• Following school safeguarding, curriculum and behaviour policies
