Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield to recruit a Primary Teacher for day-to-day or long-term cover in KS1. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Primary Curriculum, with emphasis on phonics and guided reading, while maintaining strong classroom management.

The role welcomes QTS or QTS-equivalent (ECTs) and requires UK Primary teaching experience with KS1 knowledge. Competitive pay and ongoing CPD support are provided.

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher to provide day-to-day or long-term cover within Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Primary Teacher will deliver engaging lessons in line with the Primary Curriculum, with a particular focus on phonics and guided reading, while maintaining positive classroom management.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Primary teaching experience in the UK
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 / KS1 curriculum
• Experience delivering phonics and guided reading
• Excellent classroom management
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
