Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support schools in Wolverhampton on a daily temporary basis. You will help pupils feel settled, supported and confident within the classroom, supporting children individually, in small groups or with the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a school, nursery or childcare setting, SEN experience, a positive attitude, good classroom management and flexibility to travel to Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school, nursery or childcare environment.
• SEN experience, although not essential for every assignment.
• A positive and nurturing attitude.
• Good classroom management skills.
• Flexibility to work across different schools.
• The ability to travel to Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Supporting KS1 pupils with additional learning needs.
• Assisting with classroom activities.
• Providing 1:1 support where required.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development.
• Helping children become more independent.
• Working as part of a supportive school team.
