Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Primary Teacher for regular supply work across primary schools in NG16. If you enjoy bringing lessons to life and helping children take their next steps in learning, we would love to hear from you.

Deliver engaging KS1 lessons across the National Curriculum, support early reading, phonics, writing and numeracy, and adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs (including SEND).

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching KS1 in UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics.
• Excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.
• Enhanced DBS registered on Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging KS1 lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Support early reading, phonics, writing and numeracy.
• Adapt teaching to meet different learning needs, including SEND.
• Create a positive classroom with clear routines and expectations.
• Assess pupils’ understanding and provide constructive feedback.

• Follow each school’s policies and ensuring continuity of learning.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). NCT's also welcome to apply.
• Experience teaching KS1 in UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics.
• A warm, patient approach and effective classroom management.
• A reliable, adaptable attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
