Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a passionate and caring KS2 Teacher to work on a supply basis at a lovely school in the NG12 area. The school promotes positive behaviour and a supportive environment for pupils and staff.

Regular supply work is available, with potential for a long-term placement for the right teacher. Applicants should hold QTS and PGCE (or equivalent), have UK primary school experience (KS2 preferred), and be confident supporting pupils with SEN.

Qualifications

• QTS and PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools, ideally across KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
• Confidence supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream classroom.
• Great communication and classroom management skills.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
• Creating a positive classroom where pupils feel confident to participate.
• Setting clear expectations and encouraging good behaviour.
• Adapting lessons to support pupils with SEN in a mainstream setting.
• Working closely with colleagues and communicating effectively with parents and carers.
