Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher to provide day-to-day or long-term cover within Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Primary Teacher will deliver engaging lessons in line with the Primary Curriculum, with a particular focus on phonics and guided reading, while maintaining positive classroom management.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Primary teaching experience in the UK
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 / KS1 curriculum
• Experience delivering phonics and guided reading
• Excellent classroom management
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
