Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a KS1 Primary Teacher for regular supply work across primary schools in the NG16 area. You will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, support early reading and phonics, and adapt your teaching to meet diverse learning needs while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• QTS with UK KS1 teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics.
• Warm, patient approach with effective classroom management.
• Reliable, adaptable attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.
• DBS certificate updated on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Supporting early reading, phonics, writing and numeracy.
• Adapting teaching to meet different learning needs, including SEND.
• Creating a positive classroom with clear routines and expectations.
• Assessing pupils understanding and providing constructive feedback.
• Working with support staff to help every child participate.
• Following each school's policies and ensuring continuity of learning.

• A reliable, adaptable attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
