Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a committed Primary Teacher for regular supply work across primary schools in Newark and the NG24 area. The role covers KS1 and KS2 with an emphasis on engaging, motivating learners and building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

This temporary supply position offers a £170-£220 per day rate and a supportive environment with ongoing professional development and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Reliable, flexible and dedicated.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.
• Follow lesson plans and adapt activities to pupils' needs.
• Maintain a positive classroom with clear expectations.
• Support pupils with SEND within mainstream classrooms.
• Provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.

What does the role involve?

• Delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.
• Following lesson plans and adapting activities to meet pupils’ needs.
• Maintaining a positive classroom with clear expectations.
• Supporting pupils with SEND within mainstream classrooms.
• Providing useful feedback to the class teacher.
• Following each school’s safeguarding procedures and policies.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools.

• A caring, enthusiastic approach and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, reliability and flexibility.
