Responsibilities

Part-Time Year 1 Teacher - Bury September Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Bury that is looking for a passionate and committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September. This is a part-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking for a more flexible role.

The school is seeking a teacher who can create an engaging and nurturing classroom environment, build strong relationships with pupils and deliver high-quality lessons that support children as they transition from EYFS into KS1.

The successful Year 1 Teacher will:

• Have experience teaching Year 1 or across KS1.
• Have a strong understanding of the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and create a calm, inclusive classroom.
• Have strong behaviour management skills and maintain high expectations.
• Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Work effectively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and the wider school team.

Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
• Have suitable references covering recent experience.
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be committed to supporting pupils' learning, development and wellbeing.
