A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is looking for a highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Rehabilitation Team. Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Rehabilitation Team on a secondment or fixed-term basis for 6 months.

Polmuir Road is a 10-bed community setting that offers 24-hour inpatient care from a multi-disciplinary team. The rehab pathway is currently undergoing a review, making this an opportune time for staff to be involved in the future direction of the service.

The post holder will contribute to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and support to patients who experience a diverse range of mental health issues within the rehabilitation service. As a pivotal member of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will work closely with the Community Rehabilitation Team, in-patient services, and RCH, providing a full overview of the service and the patient journey within the rehabilitation service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care and support to patients within the rehabilitation service.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with the Community Rehabilitation Team and in-patient services to support the patient journey.
  • Demonstrate good clinical judgment and risk assessment skills; contribute to recovery-oriented practice.
  • Be self-motivated and a skilled practitioner, with openness to learning and developing skills in recovery-oriented care.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration.
  • Ability to work within a rehabilitation setting and contribute to the patient’s journey.
  • Support of line manager to apply for the post.
  • Good clinical judgment and risk assessment skills; commitment to recovery-oriented practice.
