Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a proactive Sous Chef and Kitchen Team Leader to bridge the Head Chef's vision with a high-paced service. You will own your section, support the brigade, and ensure every plate meets exacting standards for quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will drive food safety, manage stock, coach junior staff, and uphold brand integrity across the kitchen during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities.
• Drive food safety and brand standards (HACCP/EHO).
• Coach junior kitchen staff and KPs.

Responsibilities

• The Kitchen Floor: lead your own section as a hands-on Sous Chef, manage ticket flow and assist others.
• The Standards: ensure food safety and brand delivery, temperature checks, and HACCP/EHO compliance.
• The Brigade: supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and KPs, translate strategy into action.
• The Commercial Reality: manage stock to par levels, minimise waste, keep paperwork up to date for stock takes.
