Job summary

Village Hotels seeks a Kitchen Team Leader / Chef de Partie to bridge the Head Chef's strategy with busy service. You will own your section, supervise juniors, and support the brigade to deliver plates that meet our exacting standards for quality and presentation.

You’ll drive food safety, manage stock to par levels, and uphold HACCP/EHO directives while helping grow the team and maintain strong GP. A hands-on role with room to emerge within a dynamic hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen with ability to lead a section and support the brigade.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP and EHO directives) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take absolute ownership of your section while supporting the wider brigade.
• Ensure every plate leaves the pass meeting quality, temperature, and presentation standards.
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and Kitchen Porters.
• Manage stock to par levels, minimize wastage, and keep monthly stock paperwork up to date.
