Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef & Kitchen Team Leader to bridge the Head Chef’s vision with a fast-paced service. You’ll own your section, ensure quality, temperature, and presentation, and jump in to support the brigade as tickets rise.

You’ll drive food safety, uphold Fresh brand standards, coach junior kitchen staff and KPs, manage stock to par levels, minimise waste, and keep paperwork up to date for monthly stock takes, contributing to a thriving village kitchen.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Sous Chef with ownership of a section and ability to support the wider brigade.
• Driving food safety and brand delivery to ensure quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

• The Kitchen Floor: run your own section flawlessly and assist other chefs during busy services.
• The Standards: ensure temperature checks, HACCP/EHO compliance, and adherence to FRESH specs.
• The Brigade: coach junior kitchen team members and keep them safe around equipment.
