Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader and Chef de Partie to drive performance on a busy shift, owning your section while supporting the brigade to deliver plates to exact standards of quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will lead by example, coach junior staff, monitor portion sizes, ensure HACCP and EHO compliance, manage stock to par levels, and safeguard gross profit. This role is based on-site in Hull and East Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a hands-on Chef de Partie and run your own section while supporting the wider brigade
• Control the flow of work, monitor portion sizes, and assist others when tickets pile up
• Ensure deliveries are temperature checked and dishes meet FRESH specifications with HACCP/EHO compliance
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen staff and Kitchen Porters, translating strategy into action
• Protect gross profit by stock control to par levels and maintain up-to-date paperwork for stock takes
