Job summary

Village Hotels Edinburgh is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader and CDP to bridge the Head Chef's strategy with a busy service. You will own your section, work hands-on, and support the brigade to ensure every plate meets our standards for quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will lead a section, drive food safety, manage stock and paperwork, coach junior staff, and help protect gross profit while maintaining a positive, energetic kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in busy kitchen environments.
• Ability to coach junior staff and porters.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead your own section on shift as CDP; manage workflow during service.
• Uphold food safety standards and HACCP compliance.
• Supervise junior kitchen staff and porters; coach them.
• Manage stock and paperwork for monthly stock takes.
