Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader and Chef de Partie to bridge the Head Chef's strategy with a busy service. You will own your section, run it impeccably, and support the brigade to ensure every plate meets our standards for quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will supervise juniors and Porters, drive food safety with HACCP, manage stock to par levels, minimise waste, and keep paperwork up to date for monthly stock takes. This on-site role offers growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Chef de Partie experience or equivalent kitchen leadership experience.
• Ability to supervise junior kitchen staff and porters.
• Strong focus on food safety and brand delivery (HACCP/EHO awareness).
• Stock management and cost control to maintain gross profit.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a hands-on Chef de Partie in your own section while supporting the wider brigade during busy services.
• Drive food safety and brand standards, ensure correct temperatures, and compliance with HACCP/EHO directives.
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and porters, translating strategy into action on the kitchen floor.
• Protect gross profit by managing stock to par levels, minimising wastage, and keeping stock records up to date.
