Qualifications

• Understanding of food preparation, storage and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily operations.
• Organise kitchen duties and monitor workflow to ensure timely food preparation.
• Prepare, cook and check food to required quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety procedures.
• Check stock levels, receive deliveries and assist with ordering supplies.
• Ensure correct food storage, temperature control and stock rotation.
• Train and guide kitchen staff on food preparation and workplace procedures.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Complete temperature, cleaning and other required kitchen records.
• Support the Head Chef with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
