Slug And Lettuce in Sheffield is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead and develop the kitchen team, uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene, and ensure efficient operations. You will mentor staff, manage scheduling, and drive cost control while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a pub environment.

The role requires leadership in a busy kitchen, strong knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to work closely with front-of-house teams to maximise sales and deliver outstanding

Qualifications

• Leadership and mentoring of kitchen team
• Strong food knowledge and skill
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S and legal knowledge

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive manner
• Lead and develop kitchen staff with ongoing training
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety, ensure safe, organized workspace
• Manage kitchen schedule to meet labour targets
• Conduct regular stock checks to manage costs and meet performance goals
• Foster collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house to drive sales
