Job summary

Soho House in Banbury is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the back-of-house cleanliness and hygiene in the staff canteen. You will wash and maintain kitchenware, manage waste, and uphold safety standards throughout the shift.

You should be reliable, friendly, and ready to contribute as a key member of the kitchen team. Training and development opportunities are available within the Cookhouse & Tonic and Soho House programs.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils and glassware.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment following safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean and organised kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and keep areas tidy.
• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety policies in line with UK regulations (HACCP).
• Follow cleaning schedules and SOPs.
• Replenish stock and assist during peak times while minimizing breakages.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
