Soho House & Co. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep back-of-house areas clean, support hygiene standards, and assist in daily kitchen operations. You will wash and sanitise kitchenware, manage waste, and help maintain organised workspaces in line with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Past cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to handle feedback to achieve member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware in line with daily operational needs.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP).
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times.
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
