Overview

Sandwell College is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Porters to join our vibrant catering team on a part-time, permanent basis. This term time only role offers 37 weeks of work each year, with consistent hours from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. It’s a great opportunity to become part of a supportive team and play an important role in keeping our busy kitchens running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Your main responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• You will ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment are kept clean and orderly.
• Additionally, you will assist with the unloading and proper storage of food deliveries, dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with college policies, and support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as required.
• Adherence to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen is essential.
