Job summary

Rosewood London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our culinary and restaurant teams, maintaining cleanliness and safety across kitchen and service areas. You will help ensure all equipment is cleaned, stored and maintained to the highest standards, enabling an outstanding guest experience.

You will assist with dishwashing, maintain sanitation of food prep and storage areas, and follow Health & Safety guidance to keep the operation safe and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen and restaurant equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and utensils.
• Keep food preparation, washing and storage areas clean and sanitised.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely.
• Support waste management and minimise breakages and losses.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Contribute to smooth operations through teamwork and daily briefings.

THE TEAM

Join our Back of House team at Rosewood London, where collaboration, professionalism, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do. Reporting to the Heart of House Manager and working closely with the Assistant Heart of House Manager and Stewarding Supervisors, you will play an essential role in supporting our culinary and restaurant teams while helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation.

YOUR ROLE

As a Kitchen Porter, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our kitchens and restaurants by maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your work will support the delivery of outstanding guest experiences by ensuring all kitchen, service, and food preparation equipment is cleaned, stored, and maintained correctly. You will be an important part of the team, helping to create a safe, organised, and efficient working environment while upholding Rosewood’s culture and values.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Ensure kitchen and restaurant equipment, including crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitised food preparation, washing, and storage areas throughout the shift.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and effectively, following all required procedures.
• Support waste management and recycling practices while helping to keep breakages and losses to a minimum.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and COSHH requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for all associates.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the operation through teamwork, flexibility, and participation in daily briefings.
