Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Airbus site in Belfast. This role offers a 32-hour week with Monday to Thursday 07:30–15:00 and Friday 07:30–11:30, supporting a busy catering operation.

You will wash and prep equipment, maintain cleanliness, follow HACCP and safety standards, and work as part of a friendly team with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene certificate required.
• Previous food handling experience required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Soak, pre-wash and wash all food and beverage operating equipment to the required standard.
• Ensure all clean equipment is placed onto assigned shelving.
• Keep dishwashing machine and area clean and hygienic at all times.
• Clean and mop the kitchen floor as required.
• Change rubbish bags and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Clean food and beverage areas, front and back of house to standard.
• Assist the team with smooth running of catering operation.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with HACCP regulations as necessary.
• Follow procedures for handling and use of cleaning materials.
• Report defective equipment, utensils, or safety hazards.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards.

The Role

• Ensure all clothing, including footwear and personal hygiene is of the highest standards

The Person

• Basic food hygiene certificate
• Previous food handling experience
• Demonstratable passion for working as part of a team
• Ability to communicate with the team effectively
• Good organisational skills.
• Workable knowledge of HACCP regulations
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
