Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a dedicated Part-time Kitchen Assistant to join Cygnet Fountains in the United Kingdom. Working 18 hours per week across three days, with overtime option, you will support meal preparation, kitchen tasks and keep areas clean and safe.

Candidates with catering experience, good communication and teamwork will thrive in a supportive environment with supervision, pension and discount benefits. Salary is £13.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably in a care or healthcare setting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a friendly, organised team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation and kitchen duties
• Wash utensils and store them properly
• Sort and store ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Handle and store kitchen equipment according to procedures
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations

Cygnet Group are looking for a dedicated Part time Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cygnet Fountains.

Working 18 hours per week. 3 days a week (6 hours shifts) with the option for overtime.

Cygnet Fountains offers a flexible mental health rehabilitation service for men including High-Support Inpatient Rehabilitation (Level 2) and Community Rehabilitation (Level 1).

Your Day-to-Day…

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
