Cygnet Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Oaklands in Hexham, Northumberland. You will help prepare balanced meals, assist with cooking tasks, and keep the kitchen clean and hygienic to high standards.

Working full time 40 hours per week on 10-hour shifts from 8am to 6pm on a rota basis, you will support a caring team in a residential service, with DBS checks required for successful candidates.

• Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils, dishes & store them appropriately.
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering.
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic.
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in line with procedures.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Oaklands. Oaklands is a specialist residential service with nursing, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in Hexham, Northumberland. The team support individuals who have additional mental or physical health needs and behaviours that may challenge.

You'll be working full time 40 hours a week, working 10 hour shifts 8am to 6pm on a rota basis.

Your Day-to-Day

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
