Qualifications

• Experienced in catering, preferably within a care setting.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate; good personal hygiene standards.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn & an active team member.
• Polite & professional with a positive attitude at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room.
• Wash utensils, dishes & store them properly.
• Rotate stock & put away deliveries.
• Maintain personal hygiene to Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations.
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment per procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

You'll be workingflexible bank shifts an week at Cygnet St Williams, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.

Cygnet St William's is a 12 bed Neuropsychiatric service offering care and treatment to those affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntington's Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

Your day-to-day...

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals

• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations




• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures




• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
