Maki & Ramen in Newcastle upon Tyne is launching a new site and seeks a Kitchen Assistant to help with food prep, cleaning, stock rotation and service support. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and tips in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and time management.
• Quick learner with attention to detail.
• Previous kitchen experience (a plus, not required).
• Food safety certification (if applicable).

Responsabilités

• Support chefs with food prep.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage.
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment.
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Support chefs with food prep (chopping, washing, etc.)
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards
• Restock supplies as needed during service

Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety
