Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for a temporary ongoing role in Derby, working Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 14:30. This hands-on position supports daily kitchen service in a friendly environment with immediate start available.

You will wash dishes, serve food, prep vegetables, and assist with sandwich/takeaway preparation while helping maintain smooth kitchen operations. DBS checks and allergy training may be required.

• Experience supporting kitchen operations (ideally in a school/educational setting).
• Reliable, professional attitude with strong teamwork.
• Comfortable handling food service tasks with care and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards during shifts.

Our Client is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support day-to-day kitchen service on a temporary ongoing basis, Monday to Friday, 10:30-14:30. If you enjoy keeping things running smoothly and take pride in helping others, this could be a great fit-plus an immediate start is available.

What you’ll be doing:

• Washing up to keep kitchen areas clean, safe and organised
• Serving food to customers/visitors with a helpful, positive approach
• Prepping vegetables to support the team during service
• Filling sandwiches and wraps accurately and efficiently
• Supporting the overall flow of the kitchen-without getting involved in any cooking
