Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for a temporary ongoing role in Derby, working Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 14:30. This hands-on position supports daily kitchen service in a friendly environment with immediate start available.

You will wash dishes, serve food, prep vegetables, and assist with sandwich/takeaway preparation while helping maintain smooth kitchen operations. DBS checks and allergy training may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting kitchen operations (ideally in a school/educational setting).
• Reliable, professional attitude with strong teamwork.
• Comfortable handling food service tasks with care and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Wash up to keep kitchen areas clean, safe and organized.
• Serve food to customers/visitors with a helpful, positive approach.
• Prep vegetables to support the team during service.
• Fill sandwiches and wraps accurately and efficiently.
• Support the overall flow of the kitchen without cooking.
