Job summary

New Appointments Group is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash in Herne Bay for a short-term placement.

You will support a busy education setting kitchen, washing pots, pans, operating dishwasher, and keeping area tidy; shifts 7:00am-1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Applicants should be comfortable in a busy kitchen and wear appropriate footwear and dark clothing; apron and hairnet may be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Wear sensible anti-slip shoes.
• Dark clothing to be worn; apron may be provided.

• Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment.

Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash

Location: Herne Bay, Kent

Start Date: Wednesday 2 September

Temporary basis for 3-4 weeks

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-1:30pm

Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash to support a busy education setting kitchen on a temporary basis.

This is a role ideal for someone who comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Operating the dishwasher
• Clearing down and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Carrying out general kitchen cleaning duties
• Supporting the kitchen team with general tasks as required
• There may occasionally be some basic food preparation, although this is not expected to be a regular part of the role

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday 7:00am-1:30pm
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment

• The school will provide an apron and can also provide a hairnet/hat.
