Job summary

Tunbridge Wells Care Centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a bank contract, dayshift. You will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe kitchen and work closely with the Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

The role offers DBS check paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks leave based on a full-time contract, with hourly pay at £12.71. This is a hands-on, supportive environment where reliability and attention to detail matter.

Tunbridge Wells Care Centre is a bright, modern home in a residential area of Royal Tunbridge Wells, offering person-centred nursing, dementia and palliative care for up to 70 residents. The home features spacious ensuite rooms, wheelchair-accessible facilities, welcoming communal areas, a dedicated hair salon and large landscaped gardens, all supported by a compassionate team committed to kindness, dignity and comfort.

• £12.71 per hour

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
