Job summary

Willows Care Home in Romford is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. This part-time role covers days and involves 24 contracted hours per week, paid at £12.71 per hour.

You will work closely with the Chef and team to prepare meals, keep the kitchen tidy, assist with deliveries and stock control. A positive, reliable attitude and basic food safety knowledge are valued.

Willows Care Home is a friendly, modern nursing home in a residential area of Romford, providing person-centred nursing, dementia, palliative and short-term care. The home combines comprehensive facilities with a warm, homely atmosphere to ensure comfort, dignity and compassionate support for all residents.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 24 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
