Job summary

Sandmere Care Home in Margate is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. You will help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean and organised, and support deliveries and stock management.

This role offers days shifts, 16 contracted hours per week, and pay at £12.71 per hour. DBS clearance, pension, and uniform are provided, along with generous annual leave based on a full-time contract.

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.

• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

A purpose-built care home located in the heart of the Margate community in Kent. Our 68-bed luxury service provides exceptional levels of Residential Care, Nursing Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
