Job summary

Fred Perry is seeking a dedicated retail assistant to welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide product selections in a fast-paced store environment.

You will assist with stock handling, merchandising, and till operations, while maintaining loss-prevention standards and delivering friendly service in line with the Fred Perry brand.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is required or preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic approach to the Fred Perry Brand.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store.
• Identify customer needs using open questions and guide product selection.
• Record customer feedback for designers and buyers and relay to Store Management.
• Process incoming and outgoing merchandise accurately and timely.
• Maintain stockroom organization and follow loss-prevention procedures.
• Refresh and re-merchandise displays and point-of-sale areas to maximise sell-through.
• Demonstrate accurate till operations, cash handling and banking procedures.
• Support Store Manager in their absence and escalate issues with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store
• Find out the specific needs of each person that enters the store by using open questions
• Maintain the feedback loop to designers and buyers by recording and returning customer comments to Store Management
• Timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise
• Be proactive in loss prevention by keeping the stockroom well organised and maintaining proper procedures
• Re-merchandise displays, point of sale, and select areas of the store regularly so as to maximise product sell through
• Demonstrate great till operations, cash handling, banking and associated administration
• Deputise For the Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence
• Inform shop managers of any issues or noncompliance regarding all policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Management
