Job summary

Fred Perry Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Store Sales Assistant to warmly welcome customers, understand their needs and deliver excellent service. You will assist with merchandising, stock control, till operations and daily store routines.

Applicants should have retail experience, strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented approach to support the Fred Perry brand and store goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store.
• Identify customer needs using open questions to tailor recommendations.
• Record and relay customer feedback to Store Management for action.
• Process incoming and outgoing merchandise accurately and on time.
• Maintain stockroom organisation and loss prevention procedures.
• Re-merchandise displays and POS areas to maximise product sell-through.
• Demonstrate accurate till operations, cash handling and banking duties.
• Act as Duty Manager in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Manager.
• Inform management of policy noncompliance and store issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Store Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store

• Find out the specific needs of each person that enters the store by using open questions

• Maintain the feedback loop to designers and buyers by recording and returning customer comments to Store Management

• Timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise

• Be proactive in loss prevention by keeping the stockroom well organised and maintaining proper procedures

• Re-merchandise displays, point of sale, and select areas of the store regularly so as to maximise product sell through

• Demonstrate great till operations, cash handling, banking and associated administration

• Deputise For the Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence

• Inform shop managers of any issues or noncompliance regarding all policies and procedures

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Management
