Loungers plc is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Montero Lounge, a local café bar. The role offers up to £13.30/hr plus tips, paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food and drinks from day one.

You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring dishes are prepared to spec and maintaining high kitchen standards. Great for someone ready to progress toward senior kitchen roles within a growing hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment and ability to follow recipes.
• Knowledge of allergens and safe food handling procedures.
• Strong food safety standards and clean-as-you-go mindset.
• Reliable team player who communicates well under pressure.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to prep hot and cold items.
• Maintains high hygiene and sanitation across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep for each day.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par levels, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow allergen processes at all times and keep kitchen compliant.
• Support and train newer chefs to grow skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure plates leave the pass proudly.
