Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Espino Lounge, a local café bar. Earn up to £13.30/hr + tips, with paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food & drinks from day one.

The role supports Head/Sous Chef, helps the team deliver great shifts, and offers clear career progression within a growing hospitality brand. The position is a flexible, hourly contract across England & Wales sites, with evening/weekend work common.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
• A natural team player who rolls their sleeves up and genuinely cares about the food that goes out.
• Self-motivated and able to work at pace with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep, ensuring dishes go out to spec.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety at all times.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen safety and compliance.
• Support and develop junior chefs.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is proud.
