Job summary

Occulo Lounge, part of Loungers plc, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. Earn up to £13.30/hr plus tips, enjoy paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food and drinks from day one. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaves the kitchen to spec with pride and care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients.
• Strong kitchen skills including food prep (hot and cold), cleaning, knife skills and hygiene.
• Ability to work at pace with limited supervision and be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep for each day.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and keep the kitchen compliant and safe.
• Support and help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is of high quality.
